How teams are formed

About half the teams are built by HNIB from players who register on their own, and the rest are organized by coaches who invite their own players. Every registration is reviewed for age and level of play, so each team is balanced and competitive.

HNIB-built teams

Register on your own

Sign up as an individual and HNIB builds balanced teams from those registrations. You don't need a team or a coach to play.

Play with a friend or teammate

You and your friend each register as individuals.
Email the HNIB office with both players' names before rosters are finalized.

We do our best to honor pairing requests, but we can't guarantee them.

Coach-organized teams

Invited by a coach

Your coach will email you a registration link for the team. Register through that link and the team's coach code is filled in for you, so you're placed on the right roster.

Got a code instead of a link? Use the Register button on this page and enter it in the Coach's Code field.

Coaching a team?

Call or email the HNIB office to enter a team. We'll set you up with a registration link to send to your players.

Registration review

Goaltenders are welcome to register now. We review each goalie registration to keep the number and level of goalies balanced across teams, and we may ask for recent game video. A goalie's spot may be waitlisted until that review is complete.
A full refund if we can't place a player. If a registered player can't be placed on a team because of level of play or event capacity, we refund the registration in full.
