Showcase of the Stars
HNIB’s Major Showcase is considered by many College, Prep, and Junior recruiters as one of their most important scouting criterion for evaluating the top underclassmen in the USA
Player Eligibility
This summer hockey showcase is for girls entering their FR, SO, JR, or SR year in the Fall (players entering a PG year at a Prep school or a Junior program are also eligible). Players must receive a direct invitation to the Showcase from the HNIB Staff / HNIB Coach, or compete in either the Girls New England Festival, Girls Southeast Festival, or Girls Central/West Mass Festival to be evaluated before being invited to the Showcase.

Girls Major Showcase Magazine

Hockey Night in Boston publishes an annual magazine program for the Girls Major Showcase. This magazine contains HNIB’s 40+ year history, the tournament schedule, profile stories, and roster information with headshot pictures for all teams participating in the Showcase. This magazine is then sent out to NCAA D1 and D3 hockey programs and made available at the tournament. Hockey Night in Boston is the only tournament that publishes a full-color magazine for their showcases.
